Q4 2025 PaperCut Hive - New Release has Arrived!
The Q4 2025 PaperCut Hive release isn’t just stacked with features - it’s about tackling the toughest challenges first and maturing every corner of Hive for schools and a growing global customer base.
Admins can now manage user details and balances at scale, including importing from PaperCut MF, thanks to the new User Data Import Tool, while Scheduled Reports emails insightful reports automatically to non-admin users, saving time and keeping operations running smoothly. Copy Control adds copy jobs to the existing quota feature for print jobs, while the User Portal updates bring local languages, job history, and custom branding for end-users - giving admins flexibility and control like never before.
Plus, Print Queue Deployment now supports ARM64, making mixed-hardware environments easier to manage and ensuring PaperCut Hive works seamlessly across diverse setups.
This release isn’t just about individual features, it’s about stepping PaperCut Hive into its next phase, solving real challenges today, and preparing for a growing, global customer base tomorrow. Here are the new features in the latest Q4 2025 release of PaperCut Hive:
The new import tool, making it easy to get user data into Hive
Designed to streamline the user onboarding process, the user data import tool is a built-in feature in PaperCut Hive and Pocket that allows Admins to bulk upload or update user information using a simple CSV or TSV file.
Seamless onboarding and smooth migrations - The user data import tool is a flexible, all-in-one solution that helps resellers onboard customers regardless of their data systems.
Risk-Free Testing with a "Dry Run" - The User Data Import tool is designed to give you peace of mind. Before making any permanent changes, you can run a test import, or "dry run", that simulates the entire process.
Scheduled Reports: Set, Forget, and Empower Smarter Decisions
Scheduled Reports is a set-and-forget assistant that automatically delivers the right print insights to the right people - saving admins time, improving visibility, and empowering smarter, waste-free decisions.
Reporting just got automated - Scheduled Reports takes the repetitive work out of reporting. Instead of admins manually exporting print data each week or term, they can now create recurring schedules that automatically generate and send reports—like Print Volume, User Activity, Environmental Impact, and the new Transaction Report—directly to principals, office managers, finance teams, or IT staff.
Take control of copy costs with Copy Control
Copy Control integrates with Print Quotas, and prevents users from making copies once their budget runs out - giving organisations full control over print and copy usage.
Get complete control of both print and copy costs - Copy Control is a new feature in PaperCut Hive that extends print budgeting capabilities to include copying. It integrates with PaperCut Hive Print Quotas, automatically preventing users from completing copy jobs when their balance runs out. This gives organizations full control over both print and copy usage.
PaperCut Hive, now more inclusive and accessible with the User Portal Update
The User Portal now adds local language support, making Hive more accessible for non-English-speaking users and expanding our global reach, while also allowing users to track their past print jobs.
2 key improvements:
The User Portal Update brings: local language support and a completed jobs log.
By providing language options for the User Portal, we're making the product easier to use and more intuitive for users across Europe and other international markets, ensuring a consistent and accessible experience for non-English-speaking users. Admins can set their preferred language in a non-English speaking country for all end-user-facing products. For the user portal, end users can also re-select the language of their choice.
The addition of the completed jobs log gives every user a clear history of their print jobs, allowing them to track and confirm successful completions directly within the portal.
These features are a key step toward expanding our global presence, supporting our Channel partners with new sales opportunities and improving the overall user experience.
Custom Branding
Reinforce the organisation’s corporate identity every time an employee interacts with the printing system. Starting with logos in the admin console and user portal and then in a later release, logos in reports.
Customise the Admin Console to display a custom logo - Some organizations want a more integrated IT environment where their company branding is reflected across the products they use. This reassures users that they are working within the correct, authorised software.
A new Settings > Appearance tab makes it easy to configure company logos for display in the PaperCut Hive Admin console, User Portal, and (coming later) in report templates.
Streamlined administrator experience for uploading and configuring logos.
Users see their organisation’s logo in the product, giving them confidence they’re using authorised software.
ARM64 support: Unified printing for your customers’ entire Windows fleet
The new wave of powerful, energy-efficient Windows on ARM devices is here. As your customers explore this new hardware, they face a major IT challenge: doubling the admin workload by managing separate print queues for each architecture, or worse, having no viable printing support at all.
Print Queue Deployment in PaperCut Hive solves this for them, supporting printing for both traditional x64 and modern ARM64 computers.
Org Deactivations and Deletions
We’re providing a secure, auditable way to deactivate or permanently delete an entire customer organization, giving administrators control while protecting against accidental data loss.
Introducing a new two-step process:
Self-service deactivation: Administrators can immediately take their organisation offline, securing access without any data loss. Organisations can be reactivated within 60 days.
Safeguarded deletion: Permanent deletion follows a separate, irreversible, and deliberately slow process. This includes multiple checkpoints - such as multi-admin notification and validation by our Support team - to prevent accidental loss.
