In addition, the cPad can also be used for secure and Find Me print release on standard desktop printers.

  • Options to release jobs instantly or save for release later.

  • Can reflect corporate identity on the screen or display internal messages when not in use.

  • Compatible with 99% of available network printers or multifunction devices.

rf IDEAS Ethernet 241 Converters

The Ethernet 241 was designed to allow an rf IDEAS card reader and an application device to simultaneously communicate via an Ethernet connection, using a single network drop. This can be used as a fast release terminal, with the following authentication methods for secure print release: Spider readers, ELATEC Reader and a Keypad.

Designed for Flexibility: Print jobs are no longer limited to the local printer. A print job can be printed in one location and picked up at any other location, even across the country.

Day-to-Day Cost Savings: The amount of paper and toner used is reduced as the amount of print jobs go down.

Security/Compliance: Sensitive documents are no longer left visible to anyone walking up to a printer. SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is available for secure transmission of card ID data.

Typical Application Scenario: The user presents a card to the rf IDEAS reader located on the printer. The secure print software on the server obtains the employee ID via the Ethernet 241 and makes the decision to release a user’s print job(s) to the printer
